We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to manage and grow our existing US business. The role will suit a sales manager with experience in selling condition monitoring of electrical HV assets, ideally Houston-based. The role will form part of our US Commercial team, working for Monitra Inc.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Commercial Account Management of specified customers.
  • Responding to new and existing customer enquiries.
  • Liaising and building relationships & rapport with new and existing customers.
  • Retain customers by developing relationships and understanding their requirements.
  • Cross-selling and up-selling to key accounts.
  • Negotiating framework agreements with key accounts.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Attending customer meetings, technical sales presentations and on-site customer product demonstrations and visiting key accounts regularly.
  • Producing and delivering commercially viable and technically compliant tender submissions, for a wide range of electrical biased systems.
  • Working with the Marketing department on campaigns, events etc. to increase opportunities with clients.
  • Representing the company externally at marketing events such as exhibitions and conferences.

    The role will be office-based (in The Woodlands, TX) with occasional working from home. We anticipate some travel to customer sites/offices across the US. Full product training will be provided.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Proven sales track record.
  • Previous experience dealing with project stakeholders; Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), EPC’s and End Users/Operators.
  • Strong management and communication skills.
  • Commercially astute with negotiation skills and experience of terms and conditions of supply.
  • Be able to work both reactively and proactively in a busy and varied sales environment.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in Condition Monitoring of assets and/or Partial Discharge
  • Experience of selling into Medium and High Voltage Electrical Power Network Customers
  • Experience of Salesforce (CRM)
